I feel my position of Real Estate Professional is one of Relocation counselor, providing information and helping buyers and sellers find different alternatives and help think through these alternatives. I see my job first and foremost as a listener, information provider and a calm intermediary to help prevent personalities from ruining a transaction. This transaction concerns most people's largest investment and can be stressful, frightening and exciting. Each of my clients receives the same quality service they deserve. I am committed to maintaining my reputation as an agent you can trust and am honest at all times.
I am a quick learner, have great recall and extensive knowledge of the Kitsap and the surrounding areas. In my previous career as NOAA CROPS officer, I traveled through out the Washington area and the North and South Pacific.. It was a wonderful way to spend some time in almost every city in the Washigton coast areas.
In five years of real estate sales, I have seen the purchase and sale of real property become more and more complicated and user unfriendly every year. Society has become more and more litigious forcing REALTORS to be more professional. Every year there is a new document required by law to protect either the buyer or seller.
Having moved 10 times in 23 years, I can certainly empathize and understand the needs of a relocating family. It is easy to see why I am a Relocation Counselor and the Broker with New Visions Realty LLC.. But what does this mean? There are many good agents who are relocation counselors who have never been transferred from one city to another. These agents do a good job with the mechanics of a move, but do they really know how the transferee feels?
I am willing to provide my buyers with enough information so that they are comfortable with their home selection. In my Buyer's Package that I have assembled to give to my clients are tips on how to obtain additional information about neighborhoods and life-style.
A house and a neighborhood represent a life style and a reflection of those who choose to reside in that neighborhood. To me this is a personal decision and must be made by the clients alone. I can provide the history of sales in a neighborhood, the school information, the recreational opportunities, etc., but the "feel" of a neighborhood that is personal to the client.
For buyers, I have extensive training in mortgage qualification and can help determine buying potential and explain the numerous types of financing. Of course, this also helps sellers whose property my buyers purchase. In this day of agency, I can not guarantee that every agent is bringing a qualified buyer. There is nothing as frustrating as finding out days before a transaction is to close that the buyer does not qualify. The selling agent should have been aware or even was aware and "was trying" to get a mortgage.
I have had a personal computer in my home since 1975 (yes, 1975). I have extensive computer and Internet knowledge and hands on experience. In fact I meet my future wife over the Internet and I make all my travel plans over the web. as well. My creative side loves to create flyers and marketing materials for my listings..
